Complete Synopsis:
Major Mallory slips through the lines to try to see his family, but runs into snipers, Union troops, and a ruthless Union officer. His wife suffers from scavengers and raiders while she waits for him. When he finally arrives, he's caught in civilian clothes by approaching Union troops and pretends to be her looney brother. He's recognized by Captain Franklin, who keeps his secret, but a ruthless Union officer and the wife's old suitor discover his identity. Major Mallory is headed for death as a spy unless his men arrive in time.
